Tom and Paula's
Doll House Pix 2010
Before you look at the pictures here is some background
The dollhouse is a Greenleaf "The Pierce", One of
their biggest and most expensive dollhouses. It is a 6 room with an Attic Victorian
that measures 36" Wide x 25" Deep x 33" High with a scale of 1
inch equal to 1 foot.
Well, it's two years later and Paula and I have Put
together another Doll House for my Sister Chris and the company she works for.
Again, I did all of the construction work and Paula did all of the painting.
Paula did some roof shingles too. If you have ever put together a Doll House or
even seen one done, you know that shingling a Doll House roof is the same as
doing a regular house. You put them on one shingle at a time and all the corners,
edges and around the chimneys all have to be cut out just like on a regular house.
So it is very time consuming and tedious work. The shingles come in bags. There
are about 400 shingles in each bag and we used a little over 4 bags of shingles
on this house. You do the math Ok ? I'm too tired from putting on shigles because,
About 20% of them had to be cut to fit. By-The-Way, These pictures were taken at
the show where the Doll House is on display. The digital camera we have is on the
fritz, so I couldn't get pictures during construction but I did get two with my
Cell Phone. I will add them to these pictures when I retrieve them. I hope you
enjoy the pictures.

OOPS !!! Sorry, But this Kitty was sleeping on the table.
These last two are from my Cell Phone. One of them is
quite fuzzy and I though about not using it but, I don't have many pictures of
this house so I am using it.
